And now it’s snowing in Minneapolis again.  Heading down shortly to meet Dad whenever the mobility van drops him off from dialysis.  Hope there aren’t any of the many spinouts and slideoffs they’ve been getting here.  It’s only a couple miles down the road, thankfully.  Today was warmer, I guess, but it looks much windier, too.  I haven’t been outside, so I’m no judge.

for January 4th! Stay warm everyone! And check your email. The newsletter was sent last night!

Thanks for the name drop in the newsletter, strange seeing my name there.

          It was quite the tight race for 3rd and 4th place! Well 2nd & 3rd really . . .

Can I prorate my score since I only moved back in-state in August? I’d really crush people if ones I found back in Oregon counted. My personal best was on lonely 5 years with a trackable in it. I think I had one unfound for more than 5 years, but the trackable put that one as the top scorer.

If only the one Lonely Cache I own was big enough to drop trackables, I would do so in a heartbeat.  I really wish I could score points for logging an owner maintenance as well.

After lunch today I threw some birdseed out around a spruce in my front yard. It was mainly for the Juncos that pick around in the snow there but when I looked a while ago I spotted the usual Juncos but also a Rufous Sided Towhee. I didn’t think they were winter birds but a little extra color is always welcome these days.

If you are kidding, then no, no pictures. If you are serious, did you need me to send it to you as a separate email?

I have to pick on poor old Rod, he was an umpire for a number of years for the WIAA.
