On the previous WGA Website, ANY MEMBER could post a poll  to query the feelings/needs of the membership, as well as comments on the question. Since the BOD has stopped asking for input from it’s members on the website, there is very little traffic from non-BODs. There are at least 9 active users on this website. It is the BOD, which uses it to discuss WGA Event Planning, acting on motions, discussing topics unknown to the rest of the membership. Without transparency, I’m not sure what else the website is used for. The BOD might want to discuss how the website is used in the future to justify the cost of keeping the domain. Or, they may want to start asking questions of the members, via this web page, in order to act in the best interest of the members.

This may look like criticism to some, but it is meant to shed light on the “lack of users” we have here. Just imagine if we could post a poll on this site, asking what the members would like to see here, instead of guessing.

(I am voicing this in the TSer’s Topic, since it will be seen by the members that visit the WGA site.)

This is stuff the BODs talk about all of the time. We have been trying to drive people to the website for the fast few years from what I understand. But unfortunately we are finding that most people prefer to use their mobile devices. The next Annual BOD Meeting will be held shortly after the Chili Feed with new and fresh ideas coming on board. I believe there will be a suggestion box at the registration table.

I would hope that there are some good suggestions that come from that, and hopefully some of them actually work.  As for the caches I own, I put up the WGA banner with hopes that drives people here.

The fact that they’re volunteer means that there’s no incentive for you guys to really do anything, other than this is something you guys care about.
