“Believe it or not, there are worse places out there actively for rent in Green Bay, and I’m sure in other cities as well.”

Oh, I know that’s true, but it still blows me away that a place like that doesn’t get shut down.  People are paying for safe rentals and they’re in no way safe.

One thing I did right when I moved into my apartment ten years ago was ask for a showing.  Everything looked up to par and the landlord has always been responsive to any maintenance requests I’ve had to put in.

Saint Louis, here I come.  The group link for the gathering I’m attending just showed up today and I made my reservation.  I’ll print off my Amtrak ticket at some point before the trip, then I’ll be ready to go.

FTP for a very foggy Sunday!

I’ll be scoping out another spot for a cache today.  The area is currently blocked by proximity so I’ll have to wait for it, but I have the other cache on my watchlist so I can pounce as soon as that one’s archived.

Good luck.  We have stopped putting caches out and have begun to archive most if issues arise.  Most of ours are hikes in the woods, but those rarely get visits, in spite of what everyone says about their preferences.  The p/gs that aren’t puzzles get the most action, and even then, once there’s a FTF, they rarely see any activity.  I honestly think other games and leisure time activities have begun to take precedence for a lot of folks.  I know that’s true for us personally.  Mostly we just look when we’re going somewhere and we look for hikes, ECs and virtuals and skip most of the other stuff.   We can hike around here any time we want, and always discover something new when we do.  No need to travel all over to add to our already bloated find count, LOL

I also took the time to check up on a couple of mine that haven’t been found very frequently.  They’re still there and ready to be found, but one is a puzzle and the other is a multi.  I can understand why puzzles don’t get found much, but multis need to be looked at more often.

More than six months out, and I’m already planning a caching expedition for my Saint Louis trip.  Seeing as how I’ll be without a car while there, I’m checking out transit schedules to cache dense locations in town.  It also helps that I solved a puzzle cache that is within sight of the hotel I’m staying at, so that will be a quick grab for either the night I arrive or the morning I have to leave.

The lower, steeper part of my driveway is glare ice and will probably need a dash of salt. the flatter part is covered with a mix of ice, slush, and rain, I pushed a bit of the slush off to help the rain drain away, no snow to add to the mess…..yet.

Now it is coming down. It started out as rain, turned to sleet and now it is snow.

We’ve had rain.  We could now go fishing in our backyard.  I hope the sun comes out at some point to dry it all out before any snow  does come along.  Yuck!

I hate when that happens.  We used to be able to delete one when it happened, but I couldn’t figure out how to do that.

Only just now the rain turned to snow.  I wish it had just snowed from the beginning.  There is literally a lake in our back and side yards that will become ice under it all.  Ugh!
