I’m  going northwest to Winona later.  Looking for birds along the river and pick up a magazine at the yarn shop there.  I’m not holding out hope for river birds, except possibly below the dams.

I was surprised to find three Trumpeter Swans on the river below the spillway.  It was my Christmas Bird count area, too.  Where were they then????

I am going south a couple of blocks to watch “This Is Spinal Tap” at a friends house.  Maybe I will do a puzzle cache on the classic Spinal Tap movie?

We went north for bacon & beer. Didn’t find the beer though. Expected a “zoo” at Nueske’s but it wasn’t much more crowded than a weekday. Bet the roads were better going north than if we had gone south.

I had bacon and beer today.  I met up with a friend at The Bar East (yes, that really is the name) and I found a burger they call the BX3, it had bacon in the bun, in the burger, and on the burger.  I washed it down with a Spotted Cow.  I enjoyed the Spotted Cow, but I think this burger would go better with a darker beer.
