Ugh! Did some maintenance for the Wiz today on the Yellow Brick Road…rode my bike but the trail was mushy in spots. Now my legs feel mushy too 🙁

05/06/2018 at 5:51 pm #2059488Ugh, one of my caches is missing again. I’m starting to run low on containers for these things.

05/07/2018 at 6:50 am #2059491FTP for the Monday after goat yoga!
La Clare Goat Farm is adding on to it’s building. I assume it is for more cheese storage, but it could be for goat yoga, too!
05/07/2018 at 7:02 am #2059492I’ve read about goat yoga . . . interesting.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

05/07/2018 at 11:11 am #2059494Before we moved back to WI, I had the local clinic supplying me with EMPTY pill containers. I had hundreds, hauled them all the way across country with us. It came in handy because I replaced a missing cache in Idaho – my only find there.
I kept some of them in empty cat litter buckets. When we moved in, the people we bought the house from were still moving out, so we helped each other. A few days later, I was organizing my caching materials. I was missing most of my buckets. The people moving out “helped” us by taking the missing buckets to the dump for us, since they were full of empty bottles.
I think I still have over 100 empty containers of various sizes ready to go. Just need time to start placing them along the trails in Adams Co.

05/07/2018 at 11:31 am #2059495I have a lot of blood glucose test strip containers that my cousin gave me. Don’t plan on hiding any caches, so if anyone wants them, I got them. Noonan, how is you son doing since the move?
05/07/2018 at 1:19 pm #2059496Yes, goat yoga. You do yoga, with goats wandering around. It’s hilarious! They especially seem to like ponytails flipping around.

Not much has changed, although we’ve been to Madison a few times looking for answers. He’s tired of going to doctors and getting poked and prodded repeatedly for the same issues. This is our 3rd time through the same tests. First at Marshfield before we moved to Oregon, then in Oregon, and now in Madison. All of these are looking for a diagnosis(es) for what is wrong with him. He’s 16 and legally starts to have a say in what care he does and does not receive. He’s tired of invasive procedures. He’s decided that he’s always going to be the way he is and has accepted it, although he’s also deeply depressed.
Unfortunately, his education is suffering because he can’t attend school regularly. He’s working with homebound and online classes but ‘working’ would be stretching it. Finding days when he’s overall healthy enough to produce work isn’t easy. Throw in the fact that he’s ‘self-educated’ himself to the point that most of the classes he’s in are repetition of content he taught himself a long time ago – and he needs to be convinced that he should do the work simply to prove to someone else that he knows what he knows. It’s not easy.
That’s the tip of the iceberg, but since you asked… and no, I haven’t been caching much recently – see above 🙂

05/08/2018 at 10:26 am #2059504This is gonna be a fun Thursday morning. A friend of mine just asked me to help a friend of hers with an exam she has to take to become a dental hygienist. At least I see at that point if I qualify to help. Apparently there’s the matter of me getting paid $125 for my time if that happens, and I have a Saint Louis trip to pay for.
