FTP for Hump Day, the 30th of May!
05/30/2018 at 8:11 am #2059705Got back late last night from North Americaās first giga event. They had geocaches there!
Yup I cleaned out southern Ohio on challenge caches, surprised not to see your name John on the logs.Ā Made a small dent on the Highway 127 Longest Power Trail,Ā which follows the 875 mile long US Hwy 127 from Michigan to Alabama and hosts the World’s Largest Yard Sale in August.
Always great to travel a half day to meet up with a dozen Badger cachers.Ā And yes, John has the great pics.
05/31/2018 at 5:48 am #2059721FTP for the last day of May!
05/31/2018 at 9:20 am #2059722I wonder why it is nobody else is posting right now. I know thereās this thing going on in Cinci right now, but thatās no excuse for the other times people donāt post. Come on thread stealers, get posting!
You don’t sound very happy.

We found quite a few challenge caches but didn’t get them all.Ā Saw your name on some of them.Ā Here were our totals for the trip:
Thursday: 19 caches in IL & IN (2 TR, 9 Challenges, 1 MYS, 2 EC, 1 LBH, 4 V)
Friday: 37 caches in OH & KY (2MC, 23 Challenges, 1 EC, 1 Event, 3 LBH, 2 V, 5 WIG)
Saturday: 71 caches in OH & KY (2 TR, 1 Challenge, 36 MYS, 1 Giga, 1 V, 30 Lab)
Sunday: 23 caches in OH & KY (1 MC, 8 TR, 12 Challenges, 1 MYS, 1 V) – with a 5 hour break for church stuff š
Monday: 40 caches in KY, OH, IN, & IL (4 TR, 23 Challenges, 2 MYS, 2 EC, 5 V, 4 WIG)
Plus 10 more challenge caches not listed above that we don’t qualify for yet so we can only log them with a note for now.As an aside, I wish they’d make a separate category for mystery caches vs. challenge caches.Ā They’re really quite different!
06/01/2018 at 7:27 am #2059733This is the June 1st FTP!
06/01/2018 at 7:42 am #2059734So, my wife has been having a very difficult week – stuff with her family, health issues with her and the kids, recovering from planting in the garden during last weekend’s 90+ degree heat – and I felt she needed a little lift this morning. We talked about this and that before I left for school and then I asked her if she had plans for the day. She said something along the lines of “probably just trying to relax or do some laundry.” Then she asked why I was asking, because I never do (ok, she’s right on that part. šĀ ) I said, “Well, with the cooler weather, I thought you would be going caching without me today.” She laughed! She hasn’t laughed much lately. No, she isn’t going caching without me.
Hoping to get a tractor this weekend, may need to drive up to the metropolis of Chili to get it. May entail some caching.

06/03/2018 at 10:19 am #2059742Just saw that there is a new virtual cache in Marshfield. Since I don’t have notifications set for virtuals, I didn’t see when it published. It’s been out for almost a month. Guess I need to pay closer attention.
