      I’ll take it, thanks J&L

All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

      LOL

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

I just wonder what the point in doing that is.

I know. It doesn’t make sense.

He better be prepared to manage 92 caches. I had issues taking care of my  8, which is why I archived them though I’m planning a new one soon by my house.

Is Ebsch a Menominee last name?

If there was a puzzle to be solved here my guess is there are a couple of geofriends in Marinette named Baker and Ebsch….just can’t figure out where the geochecker is to verify!  😀

It is and I may have an idea who it is as I’m friends with a few of them. I’ll find out when I see one of them .

        Puzzle cache?  Geochecker?

The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

Gonna do the Carney Boulevard series today.

So if anyone happens to hear about a bomb squad heading to Marinette, you know why 🙄

Hopefully I don’t get a busybody calling the cops on me. Not a fan of caches in front of houses, but if they have been found previously with no issues, then I guess I can try it myself .

Then again, that cache  in Ashwaubenon had like 90 some finds before the cops were called. So let’s see what happens today 😟

          Wish me luck.

Just got done with the series. Found 5, dnf’ed 1, and drove past another as I missed it.  I went with a game plan – do a quick look see, then get out if I don’t see it. I spotted the cache right away on the 5 that I found and didn’t spot it on the 6th .

I’ll get the drive by and dnf another day. But at least I got it done and over with for the most part.

I remember that whole thing in Ashwaubenon, I think that was eight years ago already.  It makes me wonder what made someone have the epiphany that the thing in the fence post that’s been there a year and a half is all of a sudden a bomb.

Part of that was because it was election day. I think Cormier School was a polling place and someone there who went to vote probably was the one that saw me. But I have no verification on that. I’m just glad I got it straightened out with law enforcement .

When the news broke that some suspicious guy put something in a fence post, I knew it was me that they were talking about.

My local PD is well aware what geocaching is because at the time, they had a cache of their own right in front of the cop shop. So I went to them for help. They helped me out and acted as a go between between myself and the Ashwaubenon Public Safety and we got it all taken care of, but it soured me on urban geocaching for a while as I stuck to the woods for the time being.

We have been holding our Quarry Quest event at Oakfield Ledge SNA every 3 years. Yesterday, a hiker fell from the ledge and died. That has been my concern each time we have the event, as cachers approach the quarry from the TOP, instead of entering from the bottom. I’m not sure if yesterday’s accident will change access to the area, but it might. It’s a beautiful area to visit in the autumn months.

Pretty tragic…saw that in the news…am surprised more cachers aren’t seriously injured searching for some of the risky caches out there.

Yes, how awful!  I wondered if the hiker could have been a cacher.  Beautiful area, and scary in spots, too.
