Just got back from Ashland to exchange ice creepers for a larger pair for boots.   LOTS of ICE all over up here from the rain and snow.  Still some open water on Chequamegon Bay too.

We booked a Romantic Danube riverboat cruise today with some friends…unfortunately it’s still a year and a half away. But February on Padre Island again is only a month away 🙂

7 pages to 1000 —  yikes that’s a long way to go at the rate we are logging.   Now if everyone logged at every time out in the Packer game today we would make progress!!

I scrubbed up some 5 gallon pails, filled with water, and they are outside overnight for making ice candles.   They have a bit more freezing needed to thicken up the walls so they don’t break when inverted to empty the water out of their middle.   Plus in case of a meltdown, the thicker walls last a bit longer.   But NO meltdown in sight.   Only below zero weather coming up.

Only seven months and two days until I hop a train bound for Saint Louis.  I’ll have plenty of time to grab some caches on both days that I’m there.  That’ll be on top of all the Where’s George related stuff that goes on there.
