After hiking to Slough Gundy in the northwoods this weekend, I got 10 ticks off me, and 3 (I think) off greyhounder. I guess they think I’m tastier – or maybe it’s because I went through the brush first.
I’d like to see you out in the moonlight
I’d like to kiss you way back in the sticks
I’d like to walk you through a field of wildflowers
And I’d like to check you for ticks.I like it! Is there a tune that goes with it?
05/27/2008 at 11:41 pm #1889516Used Burts Bees bug stuff this weekend and did not have a tick and the skeeters stayed at bay. We did notice we had to reload the spray after about an hour out with skeeters thought.

05/28/2008 at 1:51 am #1889517Gram just pulled a deer tick off her shirt after doing a bit of gardening this evening. We see them and regular ticks quite often around here, just from being outside. We have learned to be very diligent doing tick checks.
Like others, we found quite a few while caching this past weekend. But we prefer to enjoy the outdoors and be smart about ticks rather than stay cooped up inside and be paranoid about them. Yup, they are gross, but after awhile, they are just another pest to deal with.

Thought it was just a joke but maybe worth a shot

Never! Love garlic myself. Probably explains why I have so few friends…

Those are the words to Country’s Brad Paisley’s song “Ticks.”
