I’m having issues with Time Warner cable reception in my area. My local friends and family have the same issue with their cable.
I was wondering if anyone else in Northeast WI or wherever have their own issues with Time Warner cable today.
Picture looks all scrambled and such. I tried to look for news on the net if there was a fiber optic cable break or something that might be disrupting the cable service. My road runner internet is fine though, so I don’t know what’s up. Phone’s busy at Time Warner so not bothering trying to call them.
07/23/2009 at 4:55 pm #1911260We had nothing but trouble with Time Warner Cable. Problems with service led me to discontinue service with them. On the heals of discontinuing service with them, what turned out to be a billing mix-up with them ended up causing my name to be turned over to not 1 but 2 different credit agencies in 2 different states to collect on a debt that was never due. I am a bit bitter when anyone talks about this company.
I switched to AT&T Uverse. I never thought in a million years I would go back to the phone company. My Uverse internet, phone, & tv service rocked for over a year. Lately, the DVR boxes have gotten all flakey (I think after a recent update) and the TV signal to my bedroom box has issues now. So nothing is ever perfect…
Someday we’ll all have super dooper high speed high def wireless everything…

I too switched to UVerse and have had the same issues, for longer than just the recent update. The DVR features are nice though. However, with a move to the woods in the recent future I will need to switch to satellite. 😕

how do you cache then? Whats left for internet, cell phone and dialup? blech!
07/24/2009 at 1:00 pm #1911266For the internet, we just switched from dial up to DSL back in March. For tv, we have the local channels. And we still have the land line. Although my wife has a cell mainly for work, and the kids each have one for emergencies. However, in the kids case it turned out to be more of a lifeline than oxygen. I’ve already vowed to be the last one earth to get one.
