Melissa, right now when the Recent Topics forum for the Thread Stealers, we go into the “wormhole” and head back to the very first page instead of going to the current post.

No other forum thread seems to have this issue.

Recent Logs seems to be frozen. Weather related?

Ok, not sure what to do with the info but I see the “View Reply” hyperlink for the Thread Stealers references the very first post (http://wi-geocaching.com/forums/topic/thread-stealers-with-too-much-on-their-minds-2/#post-2044669) so it is doing what is says it is supposed to do but isn’t doing what we want it to do (go to the most recent comment).

We have shared this with our new Site Admin Melissa and when she has some free time, will begin to look into this. Only seems to happen with T.S. forum.

To me the View Reply is not updating when posts are added to the forum.

The thread stealers have gotten used to going through the “wormhole” after we post something, but I would agree with WA that it would be nice to see the most recent post come up when clicking “most recent post”.

And perhaps it is intentional now to prevent page burning, but in the Thread Stealers in Off Topic, a post that is the exact same wording as an earlier post somewhere in the thread does not show up as a post at all. Unless the poster checks to see if it has gone through, he/she won’t know that it hasn’t.

Example: Go to post in Thread Stealers and type FTP (doesn’t have to be the first post on the page, which is where FTP has shown up before) and it will “send you through the wormhole” back to page 1… but it will not show yours as the most recent post… or that you made a post at all.

Very minor in the scope of all things WGA website, however… 😉

not sure but I “:ftp:”d two consecutive posts and both showed up fine.

:ftp: didn’t work for me just now. Neither did :13:

Did you edit your posts to add those “testing” words? That would make them “unique” posts and the problem wouldn’t apply. If you just did the plain old :ftp:, then maybe your BOD status lets you do things in the forums that we mere mortals can’t.

Maybe you have never posted :ftp: in the new drivel before… 😉

Another question… Did you add “testing” to the first one before you posted the second one? That would make the second one different than the first one edited. If you made two straight :ftp: posts before doing any editing, then you DO have super powers! (Do those sunglasses on the rat have something to do with your x-ray vision?)

BTW, I used different browsers and still had the same results. No posts show up when I post something exactly as I had posted before.

John, the ftp is colon lowercase f t p colon
