TBC, so many great corners of the website still to explore. Love it.
I wonder if you have began working on the WGA Election module as nominations will begin soon and elections are not far away from that.

12/08/2014 at 8:35 am #2032251Just one minor issue. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S3 using the Firefox browser.
Trekkin and Birdin’s avatar is a bit long when on the mobile site as shown in the screen shot below.
Not that big of a deal, but I thought I’d point it out.
12/08/2014 at 10:50 am #2032258Private messaging was mentioned early on. Is it upcoming or is will it not work on the new site?

12/08/2014 at 11:05 am #2032259Private messages is a feature that I sorely miss. It is also somewhat difficult to implement. It is definitely on the TO DO list.
12/08/2014 at 11:37 am #2032262As per Committees/Leadership forums…
All of them are showing to me, but all are blocked except for the ones I am on. However, those two committees show (to me) only the posts that I started and none of the other topics or discussion.
It would also be nice, if possible, not to have any of the other committees even show up on my forums. I feel like I’m lurking, even though I’m not and can’t get in if I wanted to.
12/08/2014 at 11:46 am #2032263As per Archived forums…
Perhaps they could be grouped into folders such as Past Candidates Forums, Past Event Discussions, Past Event Committees… This would save some space in the whole listing of possible forums, even though they are down at the bottom of the long list. It might make for easier navigation, too.
Also, the past event committees, which were private and some of which still are listed as private, are visible to all who happen to cruise through those posts. Again, I feel like a voyeur when I am checking some of those out.
I know that the organization’s archives are important, and that they contain a lot of history, and what is public should be made available for all to research, but I would expect there to be a longer statute of limitations before certain “private papers” were made public (unless court-ordered, you know). 😉

For now, the only other alternative is to contact a member via their geocaching.com profile if their account name there is the same as here or if you know what their handle is on geocaching.com if different than here such as Noonan’s.
12/08/2014 at 4:45 pm #2032271I have been unable to figure out how to vote for COTM. I think that site doesn’t know that I am logged in already. I find no little spots to click on, nor does it show if I have found a particular cache.
I don’t think hanging chads are the problem here… 😉

12/09/2014 at 9:09 am #2032291I was having trouble getting to the site from my bookmarked link. I kept getting “website not available” error codes. When I google the organization, I can get here by clicking the correct search result. Always an adventure!
12/09/2014 at 9:24 am #2032292I just saw your FB message T&B. I’m not the I.T. dude but when you try to get in again try pushing F5 (refresh) to force the ‘puter to look for a newer copy of the page. Maybe your cookies were stale. No one likes stale cookies.

12/13/2014 at 8:19 am #2032426When I click on an event on the event calendar, I don’t see a GC code listed on the event that I’ve viewing. The following in the quote is what I see.
12/13/14 FLASH MOB-Door County
Leave a commentDate/Time
Date(s) – 12/13/2014

0GC Code
Notice it says “GC Code” at the bottom of that quote, but no actual GC code is provided.
12/13/2014 at 8:26 am #2032428No GC Code was entered with that event.
12/13/2014 at 1:00 pm #2032434When I was posting these to the FB page, I saw this. Took a lot of digging to find it and I guess I could have edited them but it was later in teh evening and had other things.
I suggest when you submit your events, include the GC number to make it easier to find your event.
