That is an awesome article. Thanks for sharing it!…And I still don’t understand the game completely, but I went out and bought myself a GPS device and went online, and I’ve found several other hidden “caches” around Greensboro. I don’t know what you’re supposed to do with them after you find them, so right now I just keep them in a box in my kitchen….
06/26/2009 at 2:09 pm #1910189Liked the tricorder and parallel world references. Think I’ll use those instead of the old Tupperware in the woods analogy. Now if we could only get that transporter technology to make trips to GZ much easier (but then would everything be considered Level 5–special equipment needed?).
06/26/2009 at 2:17 pm #1910190I’m a bit disappointed. I though perhaps I could the coordinates to his home. One stop and all those smilies.
06/26/2009 at 7:48 pm #1910191Very well written! ๐
06/27/2009 at 12:38 pm #1910192I enjoyed this article. Very funny. Also very philosophical–quote “there was a whole parallel world some other people were living in that I didn’t know anything about. I mean, on the one hand, there’s this world that we are passing though, living in, and we think it’s the same world for everyone, but then, every once in a while, every now and then, you get a glimpse of the fact that the world you’re living in is just your world and there is this whole other world รขโฌโ and no doubt more than one รขโฌโ that you didn’t know about, because you stay in your world all the time, and you realize that you might have gone to your grave never knowing about another world except for, say, the fact that you shoot basketball a lot at a park in the afternoon and, because of that, your world happens to collide with another one.” end quote. Really made me think.
06/27/2009 at 1:50 pm #1910193Add me to the list of people who found the parallel world thing thought provoking. Fun read.
06/27/2009 at 2:54 pm #1910194Liked the parallel world thing, too, but if we were really in another parallel world when we were out caching, we wouldn’t have to worry about muggles. They wouldn’t see us in their world, would they?
06/27/2009 at 3:47 pm #1910195Had to print this one out for the family…way too funny!
06/28/2009 at 3:20 am #1910196That was an awesome story! I really enjoyed it! And from now on, my Garmin 60CSx is a tricorder!

Ahhh, but sometimes they DON’T see you. Everytime you’re just white-noise while out caching in public, you’re actually in a parallel world.
06/30/2009 at 5:28 pm #1910198Love it! There’s always the “other” perspective. Thanks for sharing this bartrod! My family is still rolling on the floor.
08/07/2009 at 1:36 pm #1910199I found some hilarious geocaching stories in Online Geocaching at http://onlinegeocacher.com/ Scroll down to Fun Stuff…my favorites are Machismo and The Great Chicken Caper. Thought I’d share…they brightened up my morning after finding I needed to buy a new motor for my boat and a new engine for my wife’s car.
