I just wanted to say a big “Thank you” to several of the geocachers that knew I was within 2-3 miles of the tornado that hit my area this past Wednesday..
I had hail so bad that I couldn’t even hear the sirens.. and when I stepped outside I actually heard the tornado.. I had finally been able to drive to ground zero and see alot of the damage done.. I was quite surprised to see many of the homes/cabins survive while every tree around them were cracked or sheered off..
I was quite surprised to get a phone call from a geocacher right after a break in the storm.. and then when I came online another bunch of emails awaited asking if all was well.. It really sums up what a tight geocaching community we have..

so are you ok, and how did your “project house” fair the storm?
Everything’s just fine here.. my thought was how it would have been soooo sad if my home would have gotten damaged and I would have then have to start over … I don’t want to drywall again this life (grins)

Wow Otter! I missed the news…as you know I was in Texas. Glad to hear that you’re okay and I agree w/ the whole no more drywalling thing! I did it twice and that was two too many times! Hope your neighbors are doing well too!
