Trackables are not swag. And Swag is not tradeable for trackables. Just sayin.

trackables are made to move, you do not need to trade for trackables.
    just take and move on.

HeliDood’s fairly new here. He hasn’t yet had the chance to share his opinions or to see all the rehashing of this issue. Both sides have points, both sides have validity. Is there a thread that we can refer HeliDood to?

Doesn’t that kinda look like a camel in that picture?

I always move trackables but very rarely trade them. I just pick one up and move it somewhere else. Sometimes I’ll trade. It just depends. I don’t believe in trackable jail cells. I like to see them moving around and keep them moving.

yes it does look like a camel.but i really liked the swinging motion.
just think you take a trackable and you leave it somewhere “so in the end its even”and yes i agree with cheeto “free the TB’s from cache jails.

I’m just venting. I needed to vent. And give everyone a little friendly reminder. Not to beat a dead horse either as I’m sure this has been discussed.
I’m frustrated after what I read on a recent log on one of my caches.
I don’t want to stir the pot or go into details here.

I agree. People buy coins and TB’s to be moved. They are not the property of the cache owner. The cache ownder did not spend the money on them. Most of the time, I’ll grab one if I see it and drop it off when I can umless it’s a new cache, then I ‘ll just discover it and leave it for the next cacher to find.

      Left plastic ring. Took geocoin.

      Is that about it?

I get this all the time on mine especially after stocking one of them up with geocoins.

Flip it the other way around to make it “Took plastic ring. Left Geocoin”
Although this was no “plastic ring”

      WOOPS! What he said.

      #1925372

I didn’t read the details. I was just sharing what I get mostly which is people leaving some trinket and taking a geocoin. (and then usually not moving it)

I agree Sandlanders, forgive me Helidood. this topic has been going on and off since the dawn of time. You will find proponents on both sides of this fence too. Trackables are meant to travel. If you can help fulfill the bugs mission (or geocoins mission) you have full authorization within the game to move said traveler. There are those out there that take this to the level that they grab every trackable in a cache if there are multiple travelers just ’cause they can. But this leaves none in the cache for others. This is, IMHO, why cache owners do their best to inforce the “take one, leave one” policy on their caches. This tends to work well enough but not in every case.

While trackables are not swag, and perhaps, leaving swag and taking a trackable may seem in poor form, it is not against any rules.
I am sure that this will get yeas and nays but that, in my mind, is the issue.
