I dropped off a TB in Denver last May while at GeoWoodstock. I just received notification that Wandering Tracks picked it up in Canada. I think that’s pretty awesome! I enjoy watching where these TB’s travel. Just wish they would all keep moving around!

I’ve sent out 6 of my personal geocoins and they’re doing fantastic…Germany, Sweden, Finland, Australia, British Columbia, Hawaii, Texas, Arizona, etc. They’ve been to a number of events including a Mega in Australia. I’m really surprised cuz coins go missing pretty quickly…guess mine is too ugly 🙂
Proxies on the move. After reviewing all of my missing TBs over the years I decided to send out proxies by making each a laminated business card with the picture of the TB and it’s goal. So far all are in circulation and making lots of miles.
Eventually my 1st TB was lost but it is making excellent tracks in the State of Washington.
I’d Rather Be Lost Geocaching, Than Found At Home!
The folks in Europe seem a lot more respectful of the geocoins than some folks in the US who think they can just keep them to add to their collections and lie about dropping them in another cache. I have only had a few disappear over the years – the one that traveled the furthest is up to almost 52,000 miles and still going, and the one that traveled the least made 339 miles in WI before disappearing 4 months after it was released. I still think it is really cool to live vicariously thru my coins, and many cachers post photos of locations and things where they have been!
