This 1929 Studebaker is a real oldie with lots of trips and miles on it.

Naturally those young kids all wanted a Corvettte and to stop at those Drive-Ins.
They all turned up their radios to set the mood for their trip.

No Safety belts here… just sit where you can. (That guy on top right looks familiar).

Could never afford this 1925 Silver Ghost model with rubble seat and trunk on the back. Yes, this is going to be a real hot thread … especially with gas at $4.00 a gallon… ❗ … ❗

I did not ride in those models but all my grandpa ever drove was Steudebakers and I put many miles on in those. Was even the first car I drove.

The best road trip I can remember wasn’t very long, but it was memorable. It was when my Father took me to a car show for the first time, probably 1974 or 1975. I think it was in Iola, WI but can’t remember for sure. It was the first and last memory I have of riding in his 66 Jaguar XKE Roadster. He sold it shortly after because it wasn’t really a practical family car.

I sure would love to have that car today.

Those Car Shows always found Dad and Mom there with this one.

My favorite in the shows .. great at July 4th town parades. The running boards always had the local Car Dealers on them… to tired to march. 😆 … 😆

Photo taken by GR8 EYES at the Asian Breakfast in Hartford event. For some reason, we decided to take the Studebaker to the event. And then we did some geocaching in it. That was fun!

Here is belated reported News (will return to Studebaker later) on the the famous General Lee Dodge Car. This car brought “big bucks”.

John Schneider with his 1969 Replica of the “General Lee” that sold for nearly $10 Million. The 725-Horsepower Iconic Charger is a Replica of the car that appeared in the “Dukes of Hazzards” TV series in the 1980’s. John Schneider played Bo Duke in the series. He let out the loudest “yeeee-hawwww” in the history of Hazzard Count.

I would too with $10 Million… 8) … 8) … 😆 … My first car cost $25.00 .. 1927 Essex…no kidding.
