I was just wondering. How do we as cache hidders monitor our treasure. I have heard some bad stories about spoons and pennies, and other things along that nature. I know that most Geocachers are a good group willing to have fun. Do we just put up with the bad apples that take good treasure and leave trash? Just wondering what you all do?
We have been jusst rolling with the punches, so to speak. The bad apples seem to be limited in number. Those with a low respect for caching and other cachers tend to stay for a very short time. Those with a sincere interest, are not easily discouraged. If somebody is really into taking my McToys, Let him have them. I know where I can get more.
I agree with Trudy and the Beast. We have one themed cache which is often used as a first cache and we try to keep it filled with nicer items. Most cachers are quite good about trades.
