Would like to get a group together for a hike out to Eagle Source GC10XXQ . and Math 2K Double Eagle GC23B01 . Looking to do it on Saturday Feb 16.
Might be a snowshoe trip with the recent snow. Long range forecast is calling for Mid 30’s and sunny, but its 3 weeks away and the weathermen cant get the weather right a day in advance.
Last time a large group went out there was 2009 if I remember right. And for all you LCG players, they are both on the list for this month.
Here is a link to old forums and all the previous talk.

This is one of those few caches that just sticks in your memory. Unlike many caches in swamps that only exist to take you to the middle of a swamp, this one actually takes you to a unique geographic feature. Even if you can’t see it…
Beautiful hike if the timing is right.02/02/2013 at 12:38 am #1967946I would be up to go if somebody could pick me up. Both trucks are down right now so I can leave town and one of these is only 18 miles from me
02/02/2013 at 1:18 am #1967947I might very well be up for this. Have had this one on my wish list for quite some time.

02/02/2013 at 4:04 am #1967950What would the hike be like on this one?
02/03/2013 at 12:58 am #1967951I’m in…I think…depends on the timing 😀

02/03/2013 at 1:08 am #1967952I like the idea of the walk. Checking fro schedule conflicts….
Following the signals from space.

Math2k is not a bad hike as far as hills/terrain, got some distance to it but I managed it with a couple of short rests on the way to it.
We also attempted ES on the last trip but the trail was blown shut and I broke through several times and found myself hip deep in snow often. Made for a cold walk back. Might be different this year with the freezing/thawing.
02/05/2013 at 12:56 pm #1967954It was a great trek when we did it. Jim and i did it alone. since we live up in the area I have one recommendation, make sure you have a noise maker, gun or pepper spray. There is a very active wolf pack in that area. That is where the bear dog was killed and eaten in minutes last year.
