Does anyone know of any good Trudy Camping sites near the park?

Camped at High Cliff last fall. I won’t kid you, not much is near High Cliff SP. The closest hotels and B&B’s will be in Chilton and Brillion. Follow the link.

You may want to consider staying in Appleton.

Haven’t decided yet whether I will be going or not. Looks like there is plenty of space in the family campground, so most likely will camp there.

I’d LOVE to camp, but “Old”s back can’t take it any more and meds need to be in the fridge. It also worked out pretty well in a hotel last year with all the rain… we were nice and dry. 😀

Oh, and it was also easier to keep the bugs out of the birthday cakes in the hotel room than it would have been in a tent.

I hear you — recently the wife and I have switched to cots. Sleeping on the ground is too difficult now that we are north of 40.

Long ago we started packing a screened shelter to keep the biting flies, skeeters and yellow jackets at bay. Now if we could do something about the ticks…

Appleton has a good concentration of places. A few outlying ones …

Kaukauna – Settle Inn. Has an indoor pool. $$? Hwy 41 and 55
Little Chute – Country Inns and Suites. Indoor pool. $$$. Hwy 41 and N.
Kimberly – Hilton Garden Inn. ??? Hwy CE and 441.

Off the top of my head I think the Country Inn is closest, and also my recommendation as the chain I stay at the most while away from home for work.

Just found out that the brand new Cobblestone Inn and Suites is open in Brillion. It is $100 a night os very pricey but here is the link if anyone is interested. It is possibly the closest one to High Cliff
