Many of us have had the, ahem, pleasure of handling Brett’s Unit, an actual travel bug. I’ve seen Bunny Fu Fu’s tattoo, Sagasu’s probe thingie, and other interesting TBs. I’m going to make my binoculars a TB, too. Not as cool as any of those, but hey, it’s kind of a defining item for a birder, so what the heck?
What other unique traveling TBs have people logged?
12/19/2007 at 1:11 am #1882304A few cachers in the SE Minnesota area have made their Geo-mobiles trackable. 😛
12/19/2007 at 1:16 am #1882305Yup, we logged one of those, and the one we logged, he actually put the number of a geocoin on his vehicle, so we got an icon. Maybe I should do something like that with my binocs, too. Hmmmm

12/19/2007 at 2:50 pm #1882308My geo-mobile, the The Geo-Jimmy
Our other car The Geo-Turbo-Zoom-Zoom which I haven’t had the decals made for yet. This car is to new to cache with of course!
And, there was Footloose and Fancy Free which was a Moose hoof and ankle. It barely fit in an ammo can!
12/19/2007 at 3:02 pm #1882309Seems like all the unusual things that can be made into TBs has been done, but you never know.
I would vote for lagrac’s unit as the best. I get a real thrill from holding it!
12/19/2007 at 3:09 pm #1882310Another one to add is from the Tapps. It’s Brian’s son. I logged him at an event also.
And if I remember correctly, I think it was Sweetlife, who had a giant wooden Signal.12/19/2007 at 5:48 pm #1882311I know that some people have their geodogs and TB’s and they also have trackable coins on the collars for discovering.
12/19/2007 at 7:02 pm #1882312Oh Dave, that is the best TB of all! Can’t wait to log that one! 😉
As for marc’s comment re: “the unit;”….well, it’s just better not to comment on some statements! LOL
12/19/2007 at 7:32 pm #1882313We came across one that was simply a small spiral notebook chained to the dog tag. Hadn’t seen one like that before or since, but maybe it’s not that unique.
On the Left Side of the Road...12/19/2007 at 8:45 pm #188231412/19/2007 at 8:51 pm #1882315We have a “shape-shifter”. Anyone that finds it is asked to changed the TB to whatever they would like and to post a photo of the new shape. It’s like trading trinkets on a travel bug. We never know what it will morph into. 🙂
12/19/2007 at 11:42 pm #1882316The Tilley Hat is kinda neat!
12/19/2007 at 11:45 pm #1882317We would not take one once because it was a full cement cinder block… and it was on a long hike in the woods. Neither one of us was up to carrying that bugger out.
