GC24H1Z – 2010 WGA Appleton CITO and Potluck
Hosted by: -cheeto-Now that April is finally here and it feels like spring, it’s time to think about spring cleaning. There are a few upcoming WGA Regional CITO (Cache In Trash Out) event’s in the next few weeks. Please try to attend and help out if you can. Participating in a CITO event is a very rewarding experience and allows all of us a chance to give back to the communities of Wisconsin and to the Earth.
The WGA has an “adopted” highway east of the Appleton area along Hwy 10 near Brillion. It was discussed during this past year’s board election that this effort was not being followed through on. Please consider coming out and helping with keeping our adopted stretch of highway clean.
Or if you are a little further South in the state on that same day there is a cleanup and Potluck at Harrington Beach State Park which is north of Port Washington and south of Sheboygan along the Lake Michigan coastline. Don’t forget your state park sticker!
The following weekend will be the 4th annual Appleton area CITO and Potluck.
All of these CITO Regional events are being sponsored by the Wisconsin Geocaching Association and hosted locally by WGA members.

Can’t make it, but I did place a couple new caches for eager cleaners to find. I will also make sure the rest I own out there are in good shape for Saturday. Have a great CITO event and be sure to bring your recycle bags.
04/24/2010 at 12:52 am #1926830You really are Seldom Seen, I was looking forward to actually meeting you at an event in Appleton.
04/24/2010 at 1:07 am #1926831You should have made it to the CITO on Hwy 10. S|S made it there. I’m just wondering how much recycled trash is going to make it into his new caches. I’m guessing something about time flies, or some reference to the lost art of hub caps.
04/26/2010 at 8:33 am #1926832I actually had plans to attend another event that day, before the HWY 10 CITO even got published. Otherwise I would have been there helping.
