Since it has been a while since the old WGA logo was used at the top of the WGA pages, its use in the individual news items on the main page becomes more noticeable. Could the logo there be changed to the new one, too?
In light of the recent post here on updating/removing the linky-link for INATN, thought I’d give this post a big
BUMP
I’ll repost this in the web-committee threads.
Why is the logo even needed next to each news item?
Seems to take up a lot of screen space, giving out redundant eye candy.
From what I can tell, it is there to designate the type of news. I only see two types though: Organization News and Media Coverage.
The icon for news is “built in” to the website software, and it would be a little difficult to remove. The news articles can have as many catagories as we want, each with it’s own icon. There just aren’t that many catagories we need… Changing the icon is trivial.
