Last week I presented an Introduction to Geocaching at REI for one of their monthly public seminars. I updated the powerpoint presentation that I used last year for the same presentation (the one currently available on the WGA wiki). Updates include:
– changed the screenshots to show the new geocaching.com maps and cache pages
– added a few more pictures of alternative cache containers
– took out overlaps that made it difficult to read text underneath when not in presentation mode or when reading PDF version
– added more instructor notes
– many other minor tweaks
Credit where credit is due: this presentation borrows heavily from presentations by Buy The Tie and kbraband.
Even though I added pictures, the file is smaller than last year’s because I compressed images before saving. Still a large download though, over 4 MB.

Could someone replace the version currently on the WGA site with the new version? Thanks!
Thanks! I’ve used many of your slides in a presentation that I’ve given several times locally up here.

Done.
Thanks for keeping this presentation “fresh”. Last time I checked, all these presentation files have had several hundred downloads since they were added. So likely these presentations have been viewed and maybe used by folks in other states as well. (We are #1 in Google for “Geocaching Presentation Resources” and #4 for “Geocaching Presentation”.)
