My name is Brian McKay, I currently reside in Madison, and my wife Kailey (bme22) and I are expecting our first new cacher in late February.
I started caching in January 2007 in Arizona and have over 500 finds in the Southwest US. I got started by accident… I was actually looking for this B-17 when I came across the geocaching.com website. Needless to say, my first cache was quite the experience.
As far as involvement within the geocaching community, I am a member of the Membership Committee, I have hosted the LCG Event, and was also an event planning member for the SouthWest Arizona Geocachers annual event in Yuma, AZ (Arizona’s largest event).
Besides geocaching, I travel across south central Wisconsin as a referee for high school soccer and basketball and next year will continue officiating college soccer across the state. I am also a member of the Verona Lions Club where I am a Director, Mint/Candy Representative, and the Golf Tournament Chairman.
