Vehicles as travel bugs??

Ok, I’ve seen the travel bug stickers that you put on your vehicles on the groundspeak website, but I just assumed these were novelty stickers, not actually making your car a trackable travel bug. But I have seen on other forums that people call their geo-vehicles as travel bugs….So are these stickers actually trackable? If so, how does that work, since its attached to your car? Or am I just reading too much into it? ❓

you can discover our truck at the next event we attend, check the parking lot, you will find quite a few im sure.

Ohhh, ok got it. So if I see a vehicle with one on it, do we actually log it as discovered on GC.com? If so, how do you do that? I know how to enter a trackable in a cache as discovered (but not retrieved), but never have yet been exposed to a trackable vehicle. Maybe I will just retrieve your car, it will be easier to log that way. 😉

Cars work the same way as the bugs for discovered, just enter in the number you see on the sticker. My car is trackable also.

Digital Dan and Bunny FuFu are trackables, too. They have tattoos that look like the travel bug icon, with tracking numbers. I accidentally retrieved Fu, LOL.

I’m sure there are others who done this too, but they’re the first I’d heard of who did that.

Mine’s magnetic so I switch it on/off depending upon which vehicle I’m taking to an event..had it specially made locally 😀

My truck has the commercial stickers on each side.

Many people retrieve rather than discover. Especially after the west bend event each year.

My truck is a trackable, too. But I have my TB set as not collectible, so you can’t retrieve it, only discover. The bad thing about that is that I can still drop it in a cache, and if I accidently do that, I have to go back and change it to collectible, grab it, then change it back to non-collectible. (Yes, I’ve done that)
