well, comparing to our staff with the flip video camera’s, 19mb is TINY. I took a flip hd video the other day, 22 mins was 1.2gb in mp4 format. I used their built in software and it converted to a 170mb wmv file couldn’t tell the difference on my machine when watching it.
Video compression is tricky, at least for me. On the mac I’ve been able to reduce a lot of files using quicktime and changing some options have reduced 1gb files to less than 100mb. If you can live with lower quality you can save space. But for me, 19mb is pretty easy to manage.
Not sure what software you have but if look for menu items like export or share, those are what I’ve found on a few packages I’ve used. Each one is different but thats where I’ve found the stuff to change sizes. Save As on one older mac application also had sizing options.
I know for conversion I’ve been told zamzar.com works well and is free for under 100mb files. I’ve never used it but I’ve been asked to unblock it at work.
As for you tube, sorry, never uploaded, only watched it..(check out the funny cats and dogs 😛 ).
