Voting for the WGA Board of Directors has begun! Click here to go to the elections page and cast your votes for your favorite candidates.
Some general notes about this phase of the Board of Directors election process:
- Since there are 5 open Board positions, members may vote for up to 5 of the candidates.
- If you try to vote for more than 5 candidates, all your votes will be thrown out and you’ll be given a chance to vote again.
- Once you vote, you cannot vote again. Therefore, if you vote for fewer than 5 candidates, you can’t come back and vote for more. Also, you can’t change your votes (so get them right the first time!).
- Voting will end at exactly 11:59:59pm on Feb 13, 2005.
If you have any questions about this phase of the Board of Directors election process, feel free to post them on the Candidates Corner 2005 board.

To log in to vote, one must use their nick name ratherthan their team name. In your case, both names are the same so there should be no problem there. Your membership is up to date, renewed today so there should be no problem their either. Passwords are case sensitive and your user name as well as password will check spaces and symbons for an exact match. Give it another try and if you still can’t get through, we will get our gurus involved.
01/31/2005 at 1:35 am #1758372Sorry for the trouble… give it another shot. As you might imagine, the ‘&’ in your nickname threw the election system for a loop. Unfortunately, the code that checks the nicknames for the renewal is not the same as the code used by the election system, so it worked in one case but not in the other… I’m hoping the new Board will force me (or some other webmaster ) to implement a common log in system, eliminating these problems.
If anyone else has issues voting, don’t hesitate to post them here or contact Jeff Thorson or myself directly.
01/31/2005 at 2:49 pm #1758373thanks for the help.. Got my vote in this morning. My wife and I use just a general name for the 2 of us.
“Be safe and Keep on Searchin”02/03/2005 at 1:49 am #1758374What a tough choice to have to vote for only 5 people. We are honored to have such a diverse group willing to run for the Board of Directors. I want to thank all the candidates for running, and hope they will continue to present new ideas to improve the Wi-Geocaching Association. Thanks.

As to the current board … thank you for all you do, I’m sure much more happens behind the scenes than we can understand.
As to the unknown board to come … thank you for stepping forward, to me it means you really care about geocaching, Wisconsin and this big family of geo-buddies. If I wasn’t German, I’d hug you all.

Thanks from all of us for the accolades.
It’s not more than the members would “understand,” it’s details that really don’t add to the immediate fun to be had.
I am German as well, I still like hugs
02/04/2005 at 5:38 pm #1758378I had hoped that Bobcat98 would have had his candidate posting problem solved by now.. I was of little helps to him and pointed him in the right direction.
For those that don’t know Bobcat98 well.. there was an Article interview on him in March 2004.. http://wi-geocaching.com/archives/mar2004.html
