I just booked a room for Thursday night at a B & B in Sturgeon Bay. We’re heading up for skiing, caching and whatever….we have had one other night away together since our youngest was one. He turns 18 in a couple weeks. The other night away, we were staying at Trekkin’s parents. Since the 18 year old has to work that night till 11, and since there’s threat of Major Consequences, we figure we can take one night to go have fun.
Five more DeLorme pages, too! Music at the B and B in the evening. Snow for skiing. What could be better?
I don’t know if I can handle this spur of the moment stuff. Our lives usually require detailed advanced planning! LOL

Sounds like a wonderful time!!!!
12/25/2007 at 2:40 am #1882587About 2 years ago, the wife and I thought that we may have a chance for an evening out in the future as our youngest was turning 9 and our middle child at 17 can certainly watch out for the two of them for a night.
That all changed with the birth of another child in March.Looks like that night out will have to wait.

Have a wonderful time!

12/29/2007 at 2:09 am #1882592Great to meet you Cheezehead… we are looking forward to hitting a few caches with you in the morning.
TE12/29/2007 at 3:53 am #1882593See ya in the morning. I even made a puzzle for ya so you can hit Here Fishy Fishy. Ya did say ya like sudoko puzzles right? 😈 8) 😕 😯 😉 😉
12/30/2007 at 12:58 am #1882594Well, we’re back. What was supposed to be one wonderful night turned out to be two, due to a snowstorm yesterday. I know, tough thing to have to stay a second night at the White Lace Inn, but we made the sacrifice! 😆
We had an incredible time caching up and down the Door, as well as bagging a FTF on gotta run’s great “Birch of a Cache” while cross country skiing, as well as their very fun letterbox series nearby. Just finished logging all our caches, now I have to process and post photos to some of them. All of them were wonderful, but we had one particularly memorably adventure at Europe Bay yesterday. GC65AB Read all about it!
Sorry Timberline Echoes, but this vacation away from the boys was about 17 years overdue! We’ll catch up on the caching trail at some point and hope you and cheezehead have a blast.
12/30/2007 at 3:15 am #1882595Yeah, I even learned a new kind of Suduko puzzle…. took a bit to figure it out but I really did. It only had to work in columns and rows not in boxes… when I figured out how to think without the box checking each box to see what could go in it. I started finding a box that only one could work and then they all started to fall in place.
Thanks Chris for all the fun… hope you didn’t get into too much trouble.

12/30/2007 at 3:20 am #1882596Hey Birdin, I did enjoy your log and photos. We have enjoyed the ore ships at Marquette, but in the warm weather the surrealness is not there.
Cool about the critters!!!
