My local search & rescue team posted the following on their facebook page. I am hoping that someone can help them out or lead them in the right direction to where they might be able to get the much needed GPS’s the team is looking for.
Thank you!!!Rapid Search and Rescue team is looking for handheld GPS units. If you have one for sale reasonable or would like to donate for a good cause please let us know. We use Garmin 62, 62s and 62st for on the field. This allows us to dock into our computer system during a search and see the path the team has walked. That allows us to know all areas we have searched and not miss any area’s. We use other gps units for our training and for new members to learn. This can save a life… Please let us know what you have…We are willing to travel if need be as we are VERY in need of more units… We have been assisting with more law enforcement search’s for missing people so we need more equipment. At times our team needs to assist in 2 different counties and we need to have all members ready to go..
Also looking for topo 24k (Northeast) and a large format printer… Any help is greatly appreciated as we are 100 % self funded.. All donations we receive go direct to families of the missing.. all our services and help are 100% free to the families.. Help us help others…
