› Forums › Geocaching in Wisconsin › Help › Wanted: Someone to run "Geo101" at Harrington Beac
I’d be interested in finding an experienced cacher willing to show people visiting Harrington Beach State Park (Belgium, WI 53004) what geocaching is about. This would be as part of various other activities happening at the park on Sunday August 16th. Time is not set in stone, but likely starting at 2pm, running for about 1.5 hours.
I was contacted by the park to do this … but I’m likely not available that day.
If you are interested, send me a private message … but also post that you’re interested on this forum.
A couple specifics:
Location: N43 29.793 W87 47.706
This is aimed at people with zero exposure to geocaching.
It starts at the Welcome Center (the above coords), you
would explain geocaching and take the people interested
out to find 3 or 4 caches. You would likely use existing
caches as there are 10 in the park, but you could use some
temps, but NO addition of new permanent caches at this time.
If you are interested I can plug you into the contact person at
the park and give you suggestions on which caches to use.
No Powerpoint explanation, just an informal/verbal intro.
Opps … I see this is the same weekend as the West Bend activities.
I suspect I won’t get any takers.
If i am off of work i would be willing to do it. but it would have to depend on work first and i wont have my schedule until about mid July i think just started this job.
