We want to add our thoughts and prayers also. We had noticed that you had slowed down but did not want to ask. We hope all goes well and you are better much more quickly than expected. Trudy is the one that will have the hard part… 🙂 at least that is how it was with Jim’s surgery and recovery.
TE10/12/2007 at 12:01 am #1879971We haven’t met yet, but I’m sorry to hear you’re facing this. We’ll keep you in our thoughts for a successful outcome and hope you’ll be back in the game as soon as possible.
10/16/2007 at 3:01 am #1879972I hope you get well soon Ray! 🙁 I’ll give you something to gloat about during recovery.
Remember when you predicted that I would be without a Miata someday, and what would I do about my screen name? Well that day may be coming this next Spring if not sooner. I have a standing offer on it and got a call tonight that 10 acres is for sale next to my hunting land. Price is higher than I would have liked, but it has been in the family for almost 100 years now. 🙁
Looks like my Harley Electra Glide will be the only wheeled toy in my stable. 😯
12/01/2007 at 12:32 pm #1879973We want to express our gratitude for the sentiments posted here, in personal memos and in person by all of you.
The surgery was done as scheduled on the 20th and I was able to go home on Friday the 23. I dropped the walker on Saturday and started walking with a cane. I am now walking 1-2 miles a day. Yesterday, while walking the mall at Bayshore, Santa offered me a job taking some of his hours. Would you believe there is a shortage of Santas? My surgeon is very pleased with how rapidly my recovery is going, but insists I not return to work for 12 weeks. Sorry Santa. But, I don’t see why we can’t get a few geocaches in before then.
We will be back on the trails very soon with a much improved beast. 😀
12/01/2007 at 12:36 pm #1879974Great news. Wishing you continued success with your recovery.
12/01/2007 at 9:31 pm #1879975Great News Beast. Glad to see you are doing so well. You may have to consider Santa’s offer next year.
12/01/2007 at 11:23 pm #1879976It is good to hear that you’re on the mend. Geocaching is great incentive to heal fast, and also good rehab! Don’t overdo it, listen to the Docs. The caches will be there when you are ready!
12/02/2007 at 2:20 am #1879977Glad to hear you are doing well. Hoping for continued mending!

Great to hear that you are recovering well Ray!!! Health is always first, then I suppose family, but surely geocacing cant be far behind.
