Went out and shoveled again. Maybe 10 -12 inches now, with drifting. My road is still not plowed and there was a car stuck in front of my house. Some guy who apparently though that spinning his tires as fast as could would be a useful strategy.

12/11/2010 at 8:35 pm #1940069In another lull here. Got the first batch blown and shoveled, and the wind was wicked when we were going into it. We’re under a blizzard warning from 6:00 p.m. till noon tomorrow. Could get really nasty.
12/11/2010 at 8:49 pm #1940070it is now 34 degrees and raining hard. What a day.
12/11/2010 at 8:58 pm #1940071Manitowoc— 35 degrees. So far no rain or snow. 😀
12/11/2010 at 8:59 pm #1940072I have drizzle and misting here in Milwaukee near the lake kind of.
12/11/2010 at 9:36 pm #1940073No snow around here. The rain finally started at about 2:30. Spent most of the day being the phone-a-friend to the 46 cachers who attended our event this morning. The calls have ended now so hopefully everyone is home safe.

12/11/2010 at 9:45 pm #1940074At 3:38, nothing.
At 3:42, snowing hard!
The white death is at the door! 😯
12/11/2010 at 10:13 pm #1940075For a system driven by strong winds, it sure took its time crossing the state, didn’t it?
12/11/2010 at 10:20 pm #1940076Still nothing in Appleton…

12/11/2010 at 10:36 pm #1940078Wind is picking up, really blowing now.
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
12/11/2010 at 10:40 pm #1940079Yup,
I said it better turn ugly and it sure has. We have around 10 inches on the ground- maybe more. I did the driveway an hour ago and there’s another two or three inches on it again. The wind is picking up and while I can see the house across the street still I can’t see the ones three or four houses down at all.
Still would have been pretty sweet to ride this out in the cabin. But I’m glad I don’t have that drive home tomorrow.

Snowing in appleton now.
I can smell the chili cooking for supper.
12/11/2010 at 10:56 pm #1940081Jim has shoveled 3 times… at least 8 inches here in Eagle River. The wind as kicked in too. Just hibernating here. No place to go anyway.
TE12/11/2010 at 11:00 pm #1940082Raining like crazy here right now, and the wind is blowing pretty good as well. Should get really interesting once this changes to all snow.
