Question for you guys and girls i was surfing around on the wed and i ran across this site Buxleys Geocaching Waypoint is this a real site. For some strange reason i thought all Caches were located on GC.com and there was nothing better. so my question is is there any good sites to go read about caching and read about others who cache. i know it sounds stupid but just wanted to know

kbraband04/25/2008 at 7:01 pm #1888329Buxley’s is not actually a site where you go to list your geocache. A little background: Back in the 2001-2002 timeframe, geocaching.com did not show the location of multiple geocaches on a single, easy-to-use map, so an independent site — Buxley’s — tapped into data from geocaching.com and used it to create clickable maps of geocaches. Then Groundspeak (the company that runs geocaching.com) and Buxley’s had a long, drawn out legal disagreement over ownership and liability issues so Buxley’s is no longer allowed to list caches from geocaching.com. At first it was an inconvenience for those of us who had come to rely on the Buxley maps, but over the years Groundspeak has vastly improved the mapping features of geocaching.com, including integration with Google Earth.

There are other geocaching sites as well, but they are not as good by a long shot. There is Terracaching and Navicaching too.
There is only one other I can think of to rival GC.com. It’s called Big Bob’s Bulletin Board of Caches. definitely the easiest caches to find.
