Would it be possible for the “Quick Links” shown at the left side of the page to open a new window instead of just opening the page in the current window (and losing contact with the WGA site)?
10/16/2006 at 2:02 pm #1766303For temporary at least, right click what you want to open instead of left click, and choose “open in a new window”.
10/16/2006 at 3:59 pm #1766304If you’re using Firefox, you can control-click on a link to make it open in a new tab. (Or command-click a link in Safari to do the same thing.)
10/16/2006 at 7:02 pm #1766305In good ‘ol Internet Explorer … holding down the [Shift] key while clicking does the trick too.
I for one like it the way it is … as I click around a fair amount and would hate to end up with 10 windows open.
10/16/2006 at 8:29 pm #1766306I have to agree with EnergySaver here. I bounce around a lot too, and wind up with enough open windows. <<>>
10/16/2006 at 9:35 pm #1766307Make up your mind guys! 😀 For now, I’ve got two votes to leave it alone and one to change it.
Having it not open in a new window by default may be preferable since there are ways to force the browser to open it in a new window/tab if this is what is desired… if we force it to open in a new window by default, this will happen for everyone and there is no way to stop it from happening.
10/16/2006 at 9:38 pm #1766308It’s easy enough to open a second brouser session; No change needed here 🙂
10/16/2006 at 9:38 pm #1766309My mind never changed … I like it the way it is.
As you stated, the way now you have choices: (a) click to open in same window, (b) shift-click to open in a new window.
As you also stated, if you change it then we’re all stuck with no options … it will then ALWAYS open in a new window. I like the current options … leave it be.

I agree, I use tabbed browsing in firefox and like links to open in a new tab. for all those people who hate having more than one window open, I recommend using tabbed browsing, even IE7 has it now(suppose to go public next month).
EDIT: I guess I can continue to use the rightclick/open in new tab as I have been for ages.

Will it support Windows 3.1?
Disclaimer: I was kidding.
10/17/2006 at 5:42 pm #1766312I like it as is.
