The Thursday Thoughts article about event posting asks about what should be highlighted, etc.  Not using other social media accounts to get WGA information, I typically get my event information from this WGA website.  That being said, this article made me look closer at the website and I discovered something obvious.  Anytime I wanted to see upcoming events, I went to the calendar and clicked on the highlighted dates and then the GC numbers if I wanted more details.  Such an oversight on my part, not seeing Events in the dropdown menu, and then getting a whole list.  So much easier to see the big picture!  I will do that now.  Unless you discover that it is labor intensive to keep the list going and discontinue making the list.  There is still the main geocaching site and word of mouth too.  As for what to highlight, maybe the next upcoming event in each quadrant?  I don’t get to as many events as I used to, so this is by no means a likely opinion of many.  I hope you get a good amount of feedback.

The list on the site gets updated weekly. Once that is updated, we put out a FB announcement for upcoming WI events, Megas, and Gigas that will bring you to the website event listing for more details.

We get more audience reach on FB by sharing unique and interesting places to visit in Wisconsin than we do with the event list posting. So, we wanted to find out how many people actually read that post and click on the website link to look at the events.

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
