I know many geocachers are also history buffs, so you may want to check out the U.S. Brig “Niagra”, which is docked in Port Washington this weekend. We rode our bikes up this morning to have a look. She is very impressive, standing 198 feet tall and 123 feet long. The Niagra is a reproduction of the flaship of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, from the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812.

    Great isn’t it!
I love to post a more lofty picture from my office window, but my darn camera is at home.

Green Bay also has a couple of tall ships in town this weekend. The replicas Bounty and Nina. Also a third ship is giving 1.5 hour cruises. If your further North than Port Washington, you might want to check out these ships.

If you still want to get some geocaching in, there is a micro “Land of the Titans” real close to where these ships are docked.

    I had a great Sunday.
My goal was Das Boat, which I visited, and ‘in between’ there were:
    5 caches.
    6 Culvers.

We were in Port Washington caching on Thursday and saw it sailing in. REALLY COOL!
