I agree with Jim, this would be ideal for a youth group from the community to do a brat fry.
I think the chamber should solicit youth groups in the area and ask if they are interested in offering food/drink for a fundraiser and not lock it down the same group year after year.
It would be nice to see a group that is National — since the event brings in folks from across the country. A group such as someone referenced — Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys/Girl’s Club. Even a United Way group would be nice to see there — where the fundraising goes back into the community.
Good suggestions! I will definitely bring this up tomorrow at the meeting.
Anybody got anything else? Not sure how much time we will have, but I am open to hearing anything that you would think would be fun and will bring it up if it sounds feasible. 😀
A local 4H group would be another idea for a youth fundraiser.

You could always order a pizza and have it delivered to the park… They could have menus up at the park for people to order delivery.
i think it would have to be a fund raiser group such as girl or boy scouts so that no one could say we were fav one resturant over another. we could also help them all get there geocaching badges.
These are all great ideas and I will present them to the Chamber Director at the next meeting. Thanks!
