That one sounded like a fall cache, but the berries could tempt me! I’m a bit cautious of late….some kind of spider got me really bad even with jeans on, and that was not even in very brushy stuff. Let’s just say I am currently wearing nothing shorter than cropped pants, as the surrounding bruising or whatever it is is UGLY!!!! And extensive. Doesn’t appear to be brown recluse, which I thought at first. Thank goodness.
But we’ll get to that one eventually.
Check out GC12XH9 east of Rice Lake. I’m kind of a geology nut and this one takes you to a very geologically significant area. One of my all time favorites!
Also, if you find yourself on the Minnesota north shore and like the Silver Island Treasure cache (easily in my top 5 of all time), then also go after GC154EY. It’s another prime CAG cache and is quite the adventure.
There’s also a nice series on a loop of the IAT placed by Yuppers last year starting with GCK59E and GC22306.
Mike, Thanks for the Rice Lake reminder. We did some of the other Felsenmeer ones a couple years ago in the winter, and wanted to get back when the snow was gone to do this one. In fact, I think we’d targeted this one for 1000, but then hit that milestone during deer season…so we ended up in Iowa. 🙄
With the horribly oppressive heat, we are seeing the worth of the park and grabs lately. Cemeteries are interesting places, and have something to offer besides stopping at a nondescript guardrail. But we can’t wait till things cool down and some mosquitoes meet the end of their life span to get out and hike for miles in the woods or some such place to get one cache. One cache.
Like HI-LO. Or Felsenmeer Ridge. Or Lost Falls in Cornucopia. Or Eagle Source. That kind of thing!

Robert O Cook is a challanging park any time of year. The terrain will beat you down pretty quick. Now the real challange is where to hold next years pancake event. 🙄
Oooh, this is right by our house!!! Thanks for the suggestion.
