The WGA is 10 years old! The BOD has decided to celebrate this occassion with a PIG ROAST!
It will be held in conjunction with the Campout at Governor Dodge State Park (admission fee required).YOU DO NOT NEED TO CAMPOUT TO ATTEND!!
The Pig Roast is for ALL MEMBERS from across the state! The cost is $3/person, with a $13/family cap. We would like to see as many of you as possible! Plan a day trip to the area with your family and caching friends. We will be gathering at 5 PM for a picture and info session, and then the pork will be served by Past and Current Officers of the BOD. You will be responsible for your own beverage… the rest is on the WGA!
Our 10th anniversary only comes once, and we would like to have a good turnout for this special feast. We really believe this is “the one” you won’t want to miss!

Saturday June 2nd, 2012 as part of the WGA Spring Camp-Out.
05/07/2012 at 4:29 pm #1960134Is there any more campout info anywhere for 2012? It seems like its only a few weeks away, and haven’t seen much of anything anywhere..
05/07/2012 at 6:04 pm #1960135Tell us where you aren’t seeing it, and we’ll post it!
It is on GC as a Campout, CITO, and Pig Roast.
It is listed in the WGA Events.
It is the featured article on the Home page for the WGA.05/14/2012 at 6:23 pm #1960136Oh no it’s not “missing” anywhere, you guys are doing a great job with the event stuff so far, there is just usually a lot more talk on the forums, t-shirt designs, etc. and I am not seeing much of that stuff at all this year.
I have been doing double duty with school and work in the last year or two and haven’t had as much time to keep up with the caching side of things over here… I relied heavily on the dedicated forum section for the camp-out in previous years to collect all that info in a “one stop shop.” and I thought I was missing something this year while looking for it!
05/14/2012 at 8:38 pm #1960137Oh!
The T-shirts are being printed…
the pathtags are being struck…
the pig is getting fat…
the tents and campers are getting aired out…
The anticipation is building!
The BOD and Subcommittees are handling most of the details to keep a steady pace on the planning.
05/20/2012 at 12:02 am #1960138Would it be strange if this was the first event that my husband and I are able to attend? The kids are flying out to Houston to stay with my sister for 19 days, and I think we could use some distraction. Should we try to attend a couple of other events first, before coming to this, so we can be a little more seasoned?

Come on down! 😆
05/20/2012 at 2:14 am #1960140Maybe it is a bit like an indoor swimming pool; you can wade in from the shallow end, or jump in the deep end.
You get wet both ways!
Put in a request for a Name Tag on the Event Page. We would all love to meet you! 😀
05/28/2012 at 6:11 pm #1960141it’s all comming up so fast..

05/29/2012 at 7:24 am #1960142IT’S ALMOST HERE!!
The hype is building for a great weekend at Governor Dodge SP! There is still time to Register for attending the party…any or all of it! We need to know how much food to order, and we don’t want to run out before you get there!
So please, let us know your intentions so we can party ’til the pigs come home!
05/29/2012 at 4:43 pm #1960143Really sorry I can’t make the 10th anniversary event… a family event on that day. Missing the camp-out too… even though these days I prefer motel-style camping!
05/29/2012 at 6:22 pm #1960144My family and I are getting very excited and starting to pack for the trip. Gonna test the tent out tonight to make sure we all fit since we add the littlest GOJeeper.
Regarding the pig roast, is there some one I can talk to quick about how it is being prepared/served? 😳 I hate to be a pain in the bum, but my hubby has a food allergy and we are trying to figure out if he can partake or if we will need to bring something else for him to chow on. Feel free to PM me or get back to me on here. Thanks!
05/29/2012 at 7:16 pm #1960145will there be a location for cache downloading at the picnic this year. Last year we were not aware that you needed to download before the event. If we need to do any downloading of caches for this event where would I find the info? Thnks looking forward to this event 🙂
