Now I am really glad that I brought this up. Thanks for the quick replies from everyone and the current board members and possible future ones.
01/15/2010 at 3:19 pm #1919809I created a new CafePress store many months back at the request of some members… I think I also posted the link somewhere in the forums. I forgot to update the link in our Main Menu… but that has been corrected. Here is the direct link:
http://www.cafepress.com/wga_store
Right now the only items in the store are shirts. Adding other items like mugs and bumper stickers can be done but each different item type requires a specially sized version of the logo graphic… we will get around making these soon.
If there is a certain type of item you’d like to see, post it here, PM me, or email cafe-store
wi geocaching com. (cheezehead there is a gray hooded sweatshirt available if you are willing to pay $35…) Does anyone know of any decent alternatives to CafePress? Some of the CafePress prices are quite high, and we have little control over how the store looks.

01/15/2010 at 8:33 pm #1919811I just asked Jeremy the same thing ..
Does anyone know of any decent alternatives to CafePress?01/15/2010 at 9:16 pm #1919812There is a company up in northern WI called Shirts Unlimited. The owner, Tina Prior, does a fantastic job and has VERY reasonable prices on silk-screening and embroidery. She also does coffee mugs and other items you have on Cafepress. I have her phone number and info and can pass it along via pm if the board is interested. She has never charged me a set-up fee for embroidery and charges by the job, not by the stitch so it ends up a lot less expensive. She’s also very quick at getting orders done.

Does anyone know of any decent alternatives to CafePress? Thanks Renee for asking this. At this point, it seems to me that a reasonable course of action would to be invited ideas and proposals, and have the BOD make a selection at the next board meeting.
If folks have ideas, suggestions, or proposals, this would be a good time and place to make them.

01/16/2010 at 2:55 am #1919814Just curious on a comment by Jeremy. He indicates the only item is shirts. That maybe the case with going thru the WGA link he published. However if you go to Cafe Press directly I have seen items like xmas ornaments and bumper stickers.
01/16/2010 at 3:49 am #1919815Does CafePress or any of the alternatives offer personalization?
(that way you can see who you are sneaking up on when you see that
ZUMA
as you are too slow to get that FTF 😀

Just look for the cigar smoke. If you smell cigar in the air as you approach, you may be a few minutes too late.

01/16/2010 at 4:30 am #1919817Or the cigar ash conveniently fell on the signature of the REAL FTF and burned it off.
The truth comes out! 😈
Not really. But it’s fun to say it! 🙄
01/17/2010 at 2:23 am #1919818It would be nice if there was a way to change away from Cafepress inorder to make some money for the WGA. Either way, thank you Jeremy for posting the link for the new logo. I will wait till after the board meeting to see if there might be another vendor.
