03/02/2016 at 9:44 pm #2047455Maybe sometime we can get a photograph of all to lay out what we have created over the years.
Hey, I kind of have one of all of the WGA coins: 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, as well as the 2013 Wisconsin-shaped tag. I could take a nicely lit picture of all of the WGA created coins. I’ve never seen, however, the silver limited edition 2005 version. Now if only I had that one I could get a picture of the entire set… 😉
Actually, there is sort of another. In 2006 a geocoin was made to commemorate the 2006 WGA Campout. It was for an event rather than for the WGA as a whole, but it nicely plugs a hole in the timeline. I’ve only seen a picture of that one.
03/02/2016 at 10:43 pm #2047462Be careful. John is just trying to con you out of the coins he doesn’t have.
03/03/2016 at 7:41 am #2047469Hey for an almost-retired guy you’re pretty sharp!

The best I can do is share this snip I took from when Stephanie England was presented her coin in 2014. These special coins are not kept with the general merchandise. (aka the WGA Hauler trailer). It is identical to the 2005 coin but was made bi-colored.

03/03/2016 at 9:07 am #2047473Is that the type Amita received two or three years ago for recognition of her service?
03/03/2016 at 4:38 pm #2047478Yes sir. Snipped right from her picture.

03/03/2016 at 8:40 pm #2047489I have bought all of the coins since I discovered the WGA but then released them into the wild. Now they’re all missing. *sniff*sniff*

03/03/2016 at 9:10 pm #2047490We bought 2 or 3 of each and sent all but one out into the wild for each year. The last one to actually have been logged was a 2010 geocoin in May 2013. It’s presumably somewhere in Europe.
03/03/2016 at 9:11 pm #2047491We’ll continue to send them out (with one to keep). We expect them to eventually go missing, so no worries for us when they do. It’s interesting to see how long they’ll last.
08/12/2016 at 10:43 pm #2051195I’m pretty stoked. Until this week, I had geocoins from every year that the WGA had issued them, except for one: 2006. It was made for the WGA campout at Peninsula State Park in 2006. Someone was actually selling an unactivated one on eBay; I could hardly believe it! Now we have a complete set. I don’t generally collect geocoins, except for WGA coins or events we’ve attended.
08/15/2016 at 10:08 am #2051206Mr Hack I see you list the 2016 coins in each of their colors but where is your second color for the 2012 coin? Hmmmm… Guess you need one more for the full collection.
Gosh, it would be nifty to find one of those. Is your’s the Gold?

08/15/2016 at 10:56 am #2051207UGH! I had it but sent it out into the wild. I’ll probably not be seeing that one anytime soon. 😉 I now only have the gold. If I could only go back in time…

Or knew the future 🙂
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
