Revival of the WGA quarterly newsletter was discussed at the Board of Directors meeting. Being true to my word in the candidates corner, I offered to work on this project. I’m trying to put together the newsletter and hopefully make this a regular thing again as it used to be. I would welcome suggestions but even better would be articles or photos from our WGA members. Please send me a PM with your submissions, thanks! Deadline for submissions is 3/10.

:wow:
03/02/2013 at 8:03 pm #1968682Becca are you using one of those bots to generate twice as many posts as me?
03/02/2013 at 10:15 pm #1968683I’d be willing to write a quarterly column on puzzle techniques and/or GSAK. Just let me know the deadline.

CJ, that would be great! Would the 10th be too soon for you?

It’s on my calendar to complete in the next couple of days. Any particular target length?
03/03/2013 at 1:10 pm #1968687That would be great sandlanders!
CJ, I guess I haven’t figured that part out yet. You wouldn’t want to do a novel, besides, you’ll want to have info still to cover for upcoming editions. But you’d want it long enough to cover your topic. Good point, I should probably think of that…

I like the idea of a GSAK article(s). I am also looking forward to this newsletter.
03/03/2013 at 2:31 pm #1968690becca, thanks for taking this on, it will be a nice component of wga membership. i’m not sure exactly how i’d present this, but for many of us, a huge part of our enjoyment comes from non-caching things we discover when we’re out. for me, bird sightings are cool, but flowers, other animals, chance encounters with interesting characters, you name it. could some sort of reader column be done to highlight this? i could try and do something of this type.
03/04/2013 at 1:50 am #1968691Kind of like a “Seen while caching” section? I was thinking of doing something like that. I think that would be great too!
