If you missed it on the Front Page…
The WGA is taking the first steps in working with the DOT and helping to keep our roadways clean by sponsoring two sections of highway in the Adopt-A-Highway program. We will soon be choosing one section of highway in NE Region of the State and the one section in the SE Region of the state. These areas were chosen as a starting point for this program as they have already expressed interest and should have the capacity to maintain the adopted roads. If there is enough interest in other parts of the state we will look into adopting more segments as well. Look for more information in the regional forums as we get this program up and running.
I’ve gotten the information from the SE Region regarding which highway segments are available. Look for my post in the SE Region Forums to help choose our highway segment.
I anticipate receiving the information from the NE Region Office yet this week and will post updates in the NE Forum when available.
We are looking to get our applications in to the DOT by the end of the month, Let’s help keep our roadways clean and give back to our statewide community!
Also, if there are any other areas of the state that would be interested in adopting a highway segment, let me know. We would love to sponsor segments throughout the state as long as their is sufficient interest and support.
See the SE Region Forums to help choose a highway segment in Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Walworth, Washington, or Waukesha Counties!
NE Region will need to wait until I receive the info…
Time to visit the SE Region Forum and/or the NE Region Forum to cast your “ballot” as to what Highway Segment we will Adopt!
