Wow, what a great topic. It’s nice to see posts at this thread from some of those who have been around a long time.

Here’s the June 2010 offering:

There are 1,109,670 active caches and an estimated 4-5 million geocachers worldwide. In the last 30 days, there have been 4,011,183 new logs submitted.

I guess the site has changed a bit since ’07. I noticed it loaded much faster than my dial up connection did back then.

The stats on May 13,2007:

There are 397574 active caches worldwide.
In the last 7 days, there have been 269841 new logs written by 40903 account holders.
