I just was warmly thinking of all the people I met last year in August, at the WGA Picnic. Then I remembered the mystery of the “found hat”. Did anybody ever find out who’s hat it was? I tried to search the archives, but it doesn’t seem to come up any more.
(For those of you that are new to WGA, there was a hat found after the event and for several months there were funny postings (with pictures to match) trying to solve the mystery of who’s hat it was and/or if there was some horrible hat crime involved. It gave me a reason to got to this website everyday!)

Last I knew, Ken still had the hat. We took it on a camping trip to the Mississippi in hopes of finding the rightful owner. We didn’t find the owner on that trip but we did grab a few more photos

we did the “tool time 2” cache by digital_dan today, and we saw a printed card asking “have you seen this hat?”
Yes, I still have the hat, I think. I moved this past winter and you know how that goes — it’s probably in a box somewhere.

* * * * * * * * * *The hat is Carrie’s (C of ABCDMCachers). Looks like the original forum topic has been deleted – too bad, it was hilarious. We posted a note indicating the hat was ours, but it wasn’t until the topic had lost its steam, so most people probably didn’t notice it. Here’s a “picture” from the picnic showing where we left the hat. You can see why we lost it. Hint: haqre gur cvpavp gnoyr.
We also found one of the “have you seen this hat” cards in a State of Mind cache. We couldn’t believe it when we found it. Click here to see.
