What Happened to the Wisconsin Geocaching Homepage

I am liking the photo on the front page. Good ideas!

At the request of the Board, I added something this year that automatically “expired” and removed news stories from the front page after 60 days (unless something was done to keep them there). This resulted in the completely blank page you saw this week… I’m not sure if seeing nothing is better than seeing old news though.

I promise to add something newsworthy today… we have an announcement coming about 2010 WGA events.

I like the photo on the page!, and we (speaking for the team) appreciate the (volunteer) work you do for the site.

I really like the photo that is on there now. It really is a huge improvement over the white page.

I hope you keep this, or random pictures, on there. Perferably above the recent news.

I was looking at other state geocaching association websites today and one other thing that I feel would be an improvement and make the site look a little more professional is for the links instead of having them like they are now maybe we could make them into, umm not sure what to call them, buttons(?).

Even though I have complained about the looks I want to give my thanks for the hard work that is put into keeping the site up and going. It is a skill that is way over my head and you have all my admiration in being able to do it.

If you go to “photo albums” in the sidebar, one is titled “Wisconsin photos.”
Any member may add photos of interest to that album. When Jeremy gets the chance to do the site redesign and we figure out who’s responsible for the front page photos, that would be a great album for everyone to update, so we can add variety.

So everyone, post your photos!

Nice job Jeremy. I’ll have to see if I can add some pics as well. Maybe some blackmail shots of Zuma on our various adventures… 😉 .

OK OK dont flame me, but how about whenever the old logo disappears we have some pictures of geocachers on the banner.

These were taken from the MiGO website, the banner is random pictures of the Board of Directors and Chapter VP’s and past events
