To draw more geocachers, especially out-of-town visitors, to a scenic spot on Milwaukee’s downtown lakefront, I have modified my “What in the World Happened?” cache (GC14Z32) from a puzzle to a traditional.
BTW, the cache name referred to the first waypoint clue of the puzzle cache, which is no longer part of this geocache — a new boardwalk along the Milwaukee River that has a fascinating list of dates and events from world history laser-etched into the wood planks of the boardwalk. If you haven’t been down there to see it, be sure to stop by and take a look, although you may not be able to see much at the moment because it’s covered by snow. Coordinates for the boardwalk are: N 43° 01.652 W 087° 54.225

Might I ask how you were able to modify this? I ask because I had wanted to change a cache type a while back and was told by the admin that I couldn’t do it because (paraphrasing) “it messes up peoples’ stats.”
I was able to change the cache type because I’m one of the reviewers.
Even though this is in a heavily visited area, there haven’t been many finders yet so I’m not messing up too many people’s stats. And if people are that concered about stats being messed up they need to lighten up somewhat.
Um, that third statement was editorial opinion. 😛
Ah, I suppose I should have connected the dots on that one. I just didn’t know if there was a super-secret protocol I could have followed to get the cache type changed rather than having to archive the old cache and “place” a “new” cache…using the exact same container…in the exact same spot.
On the plus side, it was a new GC number for people to log, en so?
