I use an Oregon 450 as my main device, but I use an HTC Hero running Android 1.5. I use C:geo and it rocks! App is being constantly developed and improvements are made almost daily. Without getting geeky, the Iphone and Android OS are the best for Smart Phones, if you need a physical keyboard then possibly blackberry, but I would strongly recommend Android, and Android phones are on almost all carriers. The Droid, the Droid Incredible, The HTC Hero, Nexus One Samsung Moment are all options, and more are coming out everyday

That’s good to hear. My phone is due for an upgrade and I was looking at going with the Hero. This one runs on Android 2.1 Thanks for posting your experience.

I love the hero! However yesterday (4th) Sprint released the HTC Evo…which is suppose to be a monster of a phone. It runs 2.1, but will be the first phone to update to 2.2/ I have played with it briefly and it has a beautiful screen and would defiantly be worth it. There is a 10 monthly fee to have this phone thoe 🙁
