I was thinking about this the other day and wondered what type of odd things others have found in caches.

Me, I have found many treasures and many not so much a treasure.

      One of the best:
A Roman coin with Constantine on the face. The size of a small button, it is barely discernible. I found it near a cache that involved a big Pink elephant.

      One of the NotTheBest:

      GC29CA1 Rush Lake Bullhead City

Nice area and a good find but then that’s when it went bad. I opened the can and it exploded after the OFF had leaked/expelled itself. Glad no one was hurt besides my bruised hand which is very minor.

      Lacknothing’s log of the incident:

Yeah, that stunk. The CO was very apologetic and sent me a personal email checking on my condition. Skeeters were bad so he dropped a pressurized can of OFF in there and it leaked. Ammo can are airtight so I cracked the seal and the lid exploded open so fast it bruised my hand. I may have also needed a change of pants after the *BOOM*

Yikes, I remember caching with you and the OFF exploding!  I typically don’t even look at the SWAG.  Most of my logs say TNLN.  I am sure I have seen strange items, but nothing comes to mind.  I do remember one cache had a theme (it was archived, and although I don’t remember the name or GC number, I could find it again if it were there!) and the theme was smelling like a lady.  The cache was full of scented soaps and perfumes.  People were encouraged to trade like items there.  I later saw on GC.com that scented items should not be placed in caches because they attract animals.  Maybe that is why it was archived.  It was the nicest smelling cache I ever did find, though!
